Washing Hair With Wine – Yes or No?
Can washing your hair with wine really give you the luxurious locks you desire? Let’s find out if it’s a good idea or just a major waste of a pretty decent Bordeaux!
From all my research, it appears many are claiming that wine can be of benefit if, after you shampoo and condition, give your hair a final rinse with the wine.
The biggest health and hair benefit in wine is Resveratrol which has been shown to reduce inflammation and cell death in mice, but human trials are less than conclusive. Personally, I do believe Resveratrol can be a wonderful additive for your diet, and supplementing might be the best option since gulping down wine all the time can’t be good for you!
Some people have even crafted their own wine and sugar mixture face and body scrubs, but I am still on the fence. Can that few seconds of wine in your hair or on your face really do anything? I’d almost prefer a vitamin c serum or face cream that has some form of antioxidants in it because you leave it on, usually overnight or all day.
So, what’s the verdict?
I would suggest you give it a try, let it sit on your hair for a few minutes before rinsing. If it works for you, then great. Post a comment here and let all of our readers know how it went.
Oh and don’t worry, you won’t end up looking like this:
Unless you want this color, then you better go see a talented stylist or better yet, just try a wig, haha, that way you can easily go back if you garner to many looks for your taste.
Now, would I put wine in my hair? Yeah, probably, why not. It doesn’t seem like it’d hurt anything. And maybe it’d make me look like a baller with hair that people would be jealous of! Haha, if I do it, I’ll post some pics here!
Send me your pics and let me know how it goes, people!
